Technical Game Designer
Gameplay | Programming | Systems | Design | Integration
I'm Benoit Poyser, a Technical Game Designer and Gameplay Programmer with a background in Computer Engineering and a Master's in Game Design. I've contributed to indie and AA co-development studios, owning design and programming responsibilities across characters, systems, and multiplayer features.
Passionate about bridging creativity and technology, I specialize in crafting engaging gameplay systems, innovative multiplayer experiences, and polished technical design in Unity and Unreal Engine. I'm multilingual (English, Spanish, French) and approach game development as both an art form and a cultural expression that connects players worldwide.
As a player, my all-time favorite game is Crash Team Racing on the PlayStation 1, the one that made me fall in love with video games. Today, I'm especially inspired by Cyberpunk 2077 and Expedition 33 for their world-building, systems depth, and emotional storytelling. I play a wide range of genres to stay sharp as a designer, but I'm particularly drawn to kart racers, shooters, and heavy narrative experiences. These games continuously influence how I think about pacing, game feel, readability, and player engagement.
Open to international relocation and remote opportunities, I'm currently focused on Technical Game Designer, Gameplay Programmer, and Game Designer roles in Indie/AA/AAA and co-development studios.
Life is a game, play it!
